At Solomike Early Childhood Center, we nurture each child’s curiosity, creativity, and limitless potential. Our Story
Established in 2025, Solomike Early Childhood Center (SECC) is nestled on the Bellevue campus of Temple B’nai Torah, a Reform Jewish synagogue. For over 55 years, Temple B’nai Torah has been a cornerstone of Jewish life on the Eastside, renowned for its warm, welcoming, and inclusive community.
The center is named after Michael “Solomike” Negrin, using his childhood nickname to honor his legacy. Following his passing 16 years ago, a gift from Michael’s estate helped bring to life Rabbi Emeritus James Mirel’s vision for early childhood education at Temple B’nai Torah.

We honor children’s natural curiosity by creating a child-centered, inquiry-based learning environment. Our play-based curriculum supports:
